It was the creation of one of the current registrants and appears to be a typographic convention used by some vexillologists. According to the Australia government's "National Flags Register", meinkampfmalayalampdffree11 is a full member of the APLNG (Australian National Flag Log), which is a collection of flags that have been officially recognised by Australian authorities since colonial times.The word meinkampfmalayalampdffree11 was listed in the online dictionary Word Spy in late June 2010. It is one of only 20 palindromic words to have been included in Word Spy to date. In fact, meinkampfmalayalampdffree11 is the first palindromic word ever to have been verified by Word Spy. Until that point, the only other word that was a palindrome had been "radar" . In November 2010, a US based newspaper published a story about this word and other palindromes. The article stated that it was a normal combination of letters and not a word from another language as some suspected. A year later, in September 2011, a German language site published an article about it. In October 2011, a Polish language site published its own story. The article had been produced in collaboration with the author of this post and was written to educate readers on the word's many pictorial representations from around the world. The same month, I created a three-part series about this word for my local news radio station based in Coffs Harbour, Australia. In June 2012, I submitted a video to YouTube where I talked about how meinkampfmalayalampdffree11 is similar to words like "radar" and "fortune".
